    2. I have a photograph of my mother which is on paper only sized 3 1/2 X 2 inches, the image only being 1 1/2 X 1, taken probably about 1915. On the back is printed: D.A.MACLEAN, Photographer Middlesboro', Blackpool & Mack, 12 Holmeside, Sunderland, 3798 Any ideas what or where "Mack" was, and does 3798 mean anything - it isn't a serial number because it is printed with the rest of it. On the 1911 census 12 Holmeside is a lock-up shop, no residents. Would this have been a "proof" print, from which one could select enlargements - I've never seen such a small studio picture before?
