You only need 3 or 4 messages in succession to bounce and the computer will automatically remove you to prevent bounced messages clogging up the system, and will send you a message saying that you have been unsubbed. You won't have done anything unless your mail box is full or you have installed some sort of spam filter. AOL subscribers are currently having problems as AOL seems to be bouncing all rootsweb mail as spam and it is hard to write to tell the people who have bounced off because I only have to mention the R word (Rootsweb) and my personal messages will also bounce. People bounce off mailing lists all the time - don't take it personally. Just resub.
