Hi, I assume this comes under the heading of Dorset Life. As a child I can remember visits to my ggAunts in Fortuneswell and eating Portland Dough buns. I have at last found a bakery that makes them and hope to get them to send me some through the post. However, does anyone know the origin of these buns? Or perhaps the recipe? Are they just peculiar to Portland or all of Dorset? Anyone divulging the recipe to a Kimberlin would likely be tarred, feathered and thrown off the island!!! Not sure of their origins but I agree they make for great eating. Ray Collins Weymouth, Dorset
