Hi list, this will was on the front page of a will which I downloaded from the wonderful PRO site. This is the last will and testament of me Jane WALDEN of " Sourton Salecote ?" in the county of Dorset widow whereby I give and bequeath my children James John and Sarah the wife of John Stevens and George Walden the sum of £40 each . To my son George and also to Mr Thomas Penny of Stourton Paincote ? afsd I bequeath the sum of £40in trust for my son William and to be paid him not at once but at such times and in such proportions as they in their discretion shall think fit. To Richard Walden the illegitimate son of my said daughter Sarah I give the sum of £4 And as to the residue of my personal estate subject to the payment of £10 each to his two sons Henry and Alfred to be paid them on their attaining the age of 21 but keeping the sums at interest in them in the meantime in a Saving Bank and I give and bequeath the same to my son George whom I appoint my sole executor but it is my will that my son William shall have all my household goods and furniture which I have in my house where I now live but not which is in my late brother`s house. Witness my hand this 16th Jan 1837 , the mark of Jane Walden, witnesses Thos Fooks, jr, Thos Penny. Will proved London 16 August 1837 by the oath of George Walden the son and sole executor.
