    3. Ah yes - I had Norfolk stuck in my mind, but that place is pronounced Haysbrugh so it was not likely to be a mispelling. I was also very concious of the fact that several of the names sounded Germanic but did not put two and two together. Now you suggest it, it seems a very plausible explanation. When the RO is open on Mondays again I will see if there is any more detail in the registers.
