Hi All, If I try do as Sandra says..... that is, put in a date range, all I get is this message in red. " If you enter a last name without a first name, you must either not enter parent or spouse names, a state, or a year, or you must enter a batch number or a film number. " I have found the only way is to leave all blanck except for the name and the regions. BUT why can't you search the IGI by surname? I do frequently. 1. Just go to http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Search/frameset_search.asp 2. Select IGI from the left hand menu bar 3. Type in the surname AND choose the region BRITISH ISLES And Bob's your uncle - I got 200 plus CALLARDs so you may want to restrict the date range? But remember the IGI doesn't have all that many Devon records in it so you may be better off doing the surname search at the DFHS website?
