With the recent messages posted about a Legassick family (which I can't help with, unfortunately), I thought that it was time to repost the information I know about my branch of the Legassick family. William Legassick(e) married Joan Haddy 10 April 1721 in West Alvington Parish, Devon and had 7 children that I know of: Mary (c1721); Eleanor (c1723); William (c1726); John (c1730); Henry (c1732); Joan (c1737); and George (c1739), all christened in West Alvington Parish. Daughter Joan Legassick (c1737 - 1803) married 28 Sept. 1758 in Charleton Parish, Devon to Robert Foal(e) (c1737 - 1801). They had 11 children, born in the Dodbrooke area, including daughter Jemima (c1777 - 1864) who wed Thomas Damerell in 1800. They were my g-g-g-great grandparents. I would love to hear from anyone who might be interested in this Legassick family. Stephen
