I was in a terrible hurry to read a Film at the LDS today [had 1 hour] and this popped up before my eyes when looking at names. Exeter Marriage Licences FHL 0917521 page 22 HEWETT, Jeffrey Scoble of Dean Prior and Susanna BRADRIDGE of same 19 Oct 1789 Now wasn't someone looking at the name Jeffery Scoble ELLIOTT? With some IGI digging I have come up with a connection to the previous query. { I think } I am thinking that the Jeffery Scoble ELIOTT who married Asenath GIDLEY was baptised 28 Dec 1756 at Dean Prior. He would only be 43 years old when he married which is quite feasible. His parents being Richard ELLIOT and Ann SCOBLE who marry at Staverton 25 Feb 1743/1744 Now, Ann SCOBLE it appears is the d/o Jeffrey SCOBLE, she was baptised 7 Oct 1725 at Staverton So too are: Bridgett SCOBLE bapt 9 Apr 1719 Staverton Jeffery SCOBLE bapt 12 Sep 1727 Staverton [there could be more children] Bridget SCOBLE marries Thoams HEWETT and they have a son Jeffery Scoble HEWETT bapt 23 Apr 1754 at Dean Prior [IGI] Jeffry Scoble HEWETT marries Susanna BRADRIDGE 22 Oct 1789 at Dean Prior [IGI] 3 days after they obtain their Licence at Exeter. Susanna BRADRIDGE would be the d/o Peter BRADRIDGE and Mary SEARLE bapt 14 Oct 1767. So there you go, double family connections on both families now in my Tree. Cheers Bev Edmonds
