Hello everyone :-) My name is Tamara and I live in NSW Australia. I was wondering whether some very kind person out there might be able to help me at all? I’m researching a family I believe are my ancestors (though not 100% yet). I’m looking for the birth of ELIZA WILLIAMS who was listed in a few census records as being born in APPLEDORE DEVON circa 1820. Appledore is in the parish of Northam. Northam parish records appear to be in the IGI. There are two possible entries. Elizabeth WILLIAMS 16 Jan 1819 daughter of Joshua and Anna; Elizabeth Allen WILLIAMS 27 Dec 1821 daughter of Henry and Mary. No Eliza. Look at the GENUKI/Devon page for Northam, and you will see links to a complete transcript of Northam baptisms and marriages. Is Williams Eliza's maiden name? Appledore isn't anywhere near the South Hams! Try DEVON-L.
