John, I could not find your family on my copy of the 1851 census CD disc. Where did you get your info from? Only yesterday I added a Edward YELLAND to my Tree, he was bapt 1 May 1778 at Ashburton and is the s/o William YOLLAND and Mary. [IGI] This Edward married Margaret BEER on the 7 Jun 1808 at Dean Prior, it was most likely his father William who was a witness along with William BEER. Edward [who by the way was an Excise Officer] and Margaret had 1 daughter that I know of, Mary Stranger Ford YELLAND bapt 1809 at Dean Prior. In 1851 grand daghter Mary OULD aged 19 yrs is living with widowed Edward at Stoke Damerel. I cannot find a baptism for Mary OULD. Does anyone have a connection to this Mary OULD. Is she Mary Stranger Ford YELLAND'S daughter?
