Morning, Louisa EDMONDS c 1867 married William GILES in 1885 both born Cornworthy, although I don't have bapt dates for either. William GILES c 1865 is, I believe the son of Thomas GILES and Agnes LORAM [1871 census.] Agnes LORAM is my current headache. According to the 1851 census there is a Agnes LORAM c 1829 born at Chagford. 1841 census has a 10 yr old servant Agnes LORAM at Chagford In 1861 Agnes who by this time has married Thomas GILES in 1856 [father of William above] gives her birth place as Holne. She doesn't appear to be baptiesed there though. She also has a son Robert who is born in Totnes Union Workhouse c 1851. In 1871 her birthplace is unknown. Thomas GILES is deceased bet 1878-1881, probably Cornworthy, as Agnes is now married to Edward EVENS and is living with him and 3 of her children to Thomas GILES at Cornworthy Village. She now says she was born in Ireland. Has anyone got Agnes LORAM in their tree? Is this the same Agnes LORAM who can't make up her mind where she was born? I seem to be in a muddle with this Agnes:), normally I wouldn't bother when I get into a dither over someone but she facinates me. Regards Bev
