I am a new member, and am not sure of how to find out about a Prisoner. I am trying to locate a Prisoner by the name of Joseph Howell(s). Who was taken from Gloucestershire to a Prison in this area. Wasn't there a Prison called Dartmoor, Joseph was sentenced to 7 years in 1849. I know the ship Called The "Lady Montagu" left Plymouth in 1852. and arrived in Tasmania in December of that year, What I need is a Lookup In the 1851 census, to see where Joseph was at this time Can S K S please help me, as I have no idea where else to look Thank you Kitty Cambridge Tasmania cc931126@bigpond.net.au
