Hi Is there anyone out there that could help me please, my brickwall is ISAAC FRETWELL born circa 1797 near Sheffield, he was an Edgetool Maker at Eckington, and signed up to the 2nd Lifeguards at Chesterfield, I have his army records and death certifcate 1846 in London, he was based atPimlico as Corporal of the Horse. He states on army records that he was born near Sheffield in the County of Yorks which he then crossed off and put Derby. I really am searching for his birth he is not either of the two on IGI Pennistone or Doncaster as he had died by 1851 and both theothers were still alive I checked the census. He really is hard to find for me as I cannot get up to Derbyshire or Yorkshire ( I have had a car accident) three people have offered help but I heard no more that was on Derby list one of those who were going to help was a couple of years ago.
