Subject: [Chesterfield] New Lister . > JOHNSON 1690+ Hello June My maternal gt grandmother, Maria JOHNSON was the daughter of William JOHNSON and Hannah (nee TURNER). Maria was baptised at Ashover on 4th July 1830 when the family lived at Brockhurst Mill, near Ashover. I *think* Hannah was William's second wife, but have not yet found who was his first... If this is of any interest to you and you would like details of Maria's marriage, children and death, please let me know. I would love any information you can give me in return. Regards, Aileen
Hello Aileen Thanks for your enquiry about my Johnsons. I cannot see a connection with your Ashover branch at the moment. The ones I am connected to are Thomas - Samuel -Richard-Matthew- Sarah Mary Anne & Rebecca from Old Brampton, weavers, flax spinners & check and calico manufacturer (Thomas). There is a link with the methodist church as well as St. Peter's Old Brampton. As I have only just found out about this whole new branch of the Barker/Vasey family I haven't gathered much info yet. Can I keep your details in my 'maybe' file please? If I do come across anything about your family I will pass it on to you. Good luck with your own research. kind regards June in Edinburgh
Dear June T hanks for the reply. Of course you can keep my information on your 'maybe' file, and I will do the same. I will pass anything to you that I find which might be helpful. Kind regards, Aileen
