Could anyone tell me where I am going wrong please. I have my grandmothers marriage certificate - she was Annie WHETTON, born in CLAY CROSS (CHESTERFIELD) between August 1875 and December 1876 (she was 19 when married in Nottingham on Oct 26th 1895). Her father was George WHETTON a collier. I have gone through the 1837 web records between 1875 and 1878 but can only find an Ann whose father is Thomas(I know this family) and an Ann Ruth who is also the wrong one. I know her family all came from the Clay Cross area as well. My mother also mentioned an auntie Florrie (presumably Florence). Anyone with any ideas would be most welcome as I am now stumped.Thanks - Christine Smith
