Hi, Glenda, I Notice the "Narrow Lane" placename on your post - you may be interested to know that the street still exits, but after some late Victorian redevelopment it has become "Broad Pavement" - talk about coming up in the world! It runs between Knifesmithgate and Saltergate, at the most eastern ends of each of those roads.
