Hi Chris I am not researching into TOMLINSON as such, but my gt grandmother, Mary WALL was visiting a TOMLINSON family at Quarry Houses in Calow, Chesterfield in 1861. She is my enigma and I am wondering whether she could be related to this family, who were Samuel TOMLINSON 45 (Ag lab) wife Harriet 51 (smock maker), William 12 (ironstone miner) and Ann 5. Mary and Harriet had the same occupation and possibly worked together? If you have any information at all about this family of TOMLINSON I would be very grateful. Conversely, if you haven't found them before, I hope this helps you. Mary WALL married Samuel RODGERS in the following year. Samuel was also an ironstone miner and lived in Hady, Chesterfield.
