    3. I don't know whether Derbyshire FHS has produced a CD-ROM of all parish baptisms, marriages and burials in the county, as is the case with the Notts FHS, but if someone on the list has access to such a resource, I'd be very grateful if they could look up a possible marriage for George JOHNSON and Sarah WARD in Derbyshire, in or around 1863. Their son John, my grandfather, was born in Mansfield in January 1864, and baptised in St Barnabas RC Cathedral in February, so the marriage may well have been in an RC Church. I can't find either of them on the 1861 Notts Census, but Derbyshire isn't far away, so they could have been living there. Any suggestions for other possible Derbyshire resources or lines of enquiry would also be much appreciated. (There doesn't appear to be an entry in the GRO Index for their marriage, but as a FreeBMD transcriber, I know only too well how inaccurate that resource is!) Barry Johnson Monmouthshire
