    3. I am interesting in finding out which cemetary my Fox's and Hutchinson's would be buried in around 1880's in BRIMINGTON/Chesterfield. I have heard of Spittal, and I am hoping it would be this one as the LDS have microfilmed it! Also, does someone out there have the Census Name Index for Brimington for the 1891 Census and willing to do a lookup? It would be most helpful if I could find either Eliza or William Fox mentioned! These FOX's are VERY elusive and living up to their names! I do know about the Brimington Web page, but the information on it does not help me. 3. It has come to my attention that there is a new virus making its round, the W32.httw.fizzer which is actually a worm and comes with attachments. You can check all about it here: http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32.hllw.fizzer@mm.html Remember: Subscribe to virus program, McAfee, Norton, etc. There are also free ones on the internet. Keep your virus definitions current. I use Norton because it is the only one that I have found that scans incoming and outgoing Netscape mail. If you use Outlook, most programs work, but remember to configure the software to scan your mail. While our lists pertain to genealogy, I tried to alert all the subscribers of new viruses as they occur. If you come across a new virus, remember to check with me first before posting an alert to the list. Thanks for your cooperation. -- Pat Connors, Sacramento CA http://www.connorsgenealogy.com Professional Genealogy Research All outgoing mail virus free, scanned by Norton 2002

    1. [Chesterfield] Whitaker - Chesterfield
    2. Paul Whitaker
    3. I am researching an ancestor named Charles Leggott Whitaker who was born in Adlingfleet in Yorkshire in 1809. By 1841 he was living in Chesterfield and did so until 1889 when he died leaving his 3rd wife Mary Ann. His first wife was Mary Swain and may have been from Sheffield and his second was Rebecca Gregory (from Duckmanton). He had a number of children Robert, Charles, Harriet ( married a Froggat) and Sarah Ellen (married a Barber). Charles Leggott was an innkeeper - I believe the Red Lion in Packers Row. Though by the 1870s when he made his will he described himself as a "gentleman"! and was living in Abercrombie Street. I would very pleased to hear from anyone with any connection to this family.
