    1. [ENG-DERBYSHIRE-CHESTERFIELD] Help!
    2. George via
    3. - This mail is in HTML. Some elements may be ommited in plain text. - Hello This message is coming to you with great depression due to my state of discomfort. I came down here to (PHILIPPINES) with my family for a short vacation but unfortunately, we were mugged and robbed at the park of the hotel where we stayed. All cash, credit cards and cell phones were stolen off us but we still have our lives and passports. We've been to the embassy and the police here and they have done the best they can. Our flight leaves in less than 12hrs from now but we are having problems settling the hotel bills and the hotel manager won't let us leave until we settle the bills. I am contacting you to ask for a short loan which I will refund immediately I get my family back home safely. Let me know if you can help. Looking forward to positive response. Thanks, George [email protected]

    3. Hi! Their sister Ruth was my Gx4 Grandmother! I'm afraid I know nothing about the Peacocks prior to George, and can only guess that Margaret's parents may have been Samuel White and Avis Edensor. If anybody can add to this I would be very interested. 1. [ENG-DERBYSHIRE-CHESTERFIELD] STONE of Brimington
    2. Jae Mattern
    3. Hello, I am looking for information on my GG grandfather Edward Stone. On both the 1891 and 1901 census records, he is listed as born in Brimington, Derby 1859/60 and working as a coal miner in Mexborough, Yorks. He married in 1891 to Ann Grainger in Mexborough and died 1901 in Mexborough. His marriage certificate states his father is David Stone, laborer. I have been unable to find a birth record or any 1861/71/81 census record for Edward or David that fits the reported information. I have hit a “Stone”wall, so to speak. Any researchers out there able to shed some light? Thanks, Jennifer M. Seattle, WA

    1. [ENG-DERBYSHIRE-CHESTERFIELD] William Ellis and wife Dorothy of Chesterfield
    2. Hello, Does anyone have any information on this family? William and Dorothy were born sometime around 1760 and had a daughter, Ann Ellis in 1797. My ancestors, John Hemmingray and wife, Ann Ellis were married in Alfreton in 1815. I have been searching for Ann's parents. Census records indicate that Ann's birth date might have been in the early 1790s. However, we have a Bible record that states that Ann was born in 1797. A genealogy from the US makes the assertion that Ann came from Castle Donington. William Ellis and his wife Dorothy were from Chesterfield. Dorothy at age 80 is mentioned in the 1841 census but may have been living with or near a married daughter. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Bev W

    3. Good evening everyone I am not new to the list as about 10 years ago I was researching a family buried in Derby Cemetery and was given wonderful assistance. I have been asked by a friend who is suffering cancer if I could do some research for her and the family she is interested in it appears according to the BDM's to be in the Derby area. All I have so far is a birth certificate on one Sylvia Yvonne FORD born 22.2.1939 at 87 Kedleston Road daughter of Beatrice nee Mann and William Ford the only other item of interest on the certificate is William gives his occupation as Borough Council Labourer. I have located on the English the registration details for Beatrice Mann and William Ford as taking place in the 1st Qtr 1922 at Derby. I also think I have located the registraion of eight children. Sylvia Yvonne Ford married Peter Anthony O'Riordan on the 17/8/1958 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Derby. Peter and Sylvia immigrated to Australia under the Assisted Passage Migration Scheme per aircraft on the 12 May 1965. I would appreciated any advise anyone can suggest on how I may locate more information on the family. Sincerely Hazel E. Magann OAM Blacktown, NSW
