Bert, I don't have access to the actual census but I did a quick check at the LDS FamilySearch and it appears the record is there; If you key in James Hougham he's the 13th entry (#3 under UK Census). Interestingly half the family is spelled Hougham and the other half Houghlin. And according to the GENUKI site the 1881 census was taken on 3 April ; thats close. David
