Just by way of elimination I have one Margaret Ashburner around this period in the Aldingham area close to Bardsea. JOHN ASHBURNER born 1788 m AGNES GAWTH in 1816. They had two daughters MARGARET (birthdate unknown by me) married c. 1856 JOHN COWARD born Colt Park, Aldingham 1805 and farmed Windhill near there. 3 sons, John, Thomas and Joseph. SARAH married 1858 ROBERT SLATER. Their daughter AGNES married THOMAS COWARD son of JOHN and MARGARET and therefore they were first cousins. No direct help but it may serve to cross one MARGARET off your list. The Ashburners in Furness are off our direct line but keep criss-crossing it.
