Sorry to butt in, but I have extracted BATY entries from Kirkandrews in the past, and I have some slight differences. This is not meant to be a criticism of Bill!!! My transcriptions were from the BTs on the LDS film while Bill's are probably from the Parish Registers as they contain more details. Of course there is no telling whether Bill's or my version is the correct one! Some of these old documents are incredibly difficult to read, particularly on microfilm. 1755 Marriage: I have the second witness as John TURNBULL. 1756 Marriage: I have Jane BATY's abode as Shadewellcrook [the Cumberland Place Name Index has a Shadwellcrook in Kirkandrews]. Also, I have the second witness as John RIDLEY. 1759 Marriage: This was definitely in 1758, not 1759, as the Rector Mr BATY was buried on 02 Dec 1758!
