This is my first posting to this list. Being a senior-newbie, excuse me if the request format is not in accordance with accepted practise. Moses is my wife's g grandfather. He was buried in Co. Armagh, Ireland, 6 Oct. 1936, age 69. Oral family history says he was from Whitehaven. In IGI I found a Moses Wilson. Christened 3 Mar 1867, in Arlecdon, Cumberland. Father shown as Thomas Wilson, Mother Jane. We know Moses father was Thomas. In IGI I found two marriage records for a Thomas Wilson and a Jane. Thomas Wilson/Jane Cowien. 12 May 1839. Thwaites, Cumberland. Thomas Wilson/Jane Graham. 21 Aug 1840. Saint John, Carrigill, Cumberland. I cannot find any other BMD data in IGI. How would I determine which, if any, of the two Thomas Wilson was Moses father? We do not know when Moses went to Ireland, if he went alone, or if the family went as well. Family rumour has it that Thomas was in the iron foundry business but others say he was a farmer. Not much to go on but any help would be appreciated. Roy Mississauga - Canada
