Hi Ann, I'm afraid there is no Burton Hall in the Cumberland Place Name Index. The only place starting with Burton is Burton High in Whitehaven, grid reference NX 98 18. The only Bur..... Hall is Burthwaite Hall in St. Cuthberts Carlisle at grid reference NY 41 50. Nothing helpful under Ber..... or Bir..... either, and no Barton Hall. There is a Brayton Hall in Aspatria parish at grid reference NY 16 42, which sounds vaguely similar. Sorry, nothing definite.
