I'm just requesting a little help/information on a topic that may not quite fit a narrow definition of genealogy - apologies to those offended. In 1803 there apparently was an influenza epidemic in Cumberland and most of England [Encyclopedia of Plagues & Pestilence]. In my research, I found two brothers [John and William KNIGHT - ages 24 and 21] that died within a month of each other and buried in Bromfield. Being the smart fellow I am, I instantly jumped to the conclusion that they must have died from influenza! Well, they died in July and August, so now I'm not so sure - it seems influenza does most of its damage in the winter. Of course, they might have died from many different things. Nonetheless, I would welcome any thoughts, comments, etc. on the influenza matter. Bill Knight Chagrin Falls, Ohio Researching all the KNIGHT's of Cumberland
