James SIMPSON, age 19, Bachelor, Labourer, of Milbourne Street. Father: Thomas SIMPSON, Labourer. Kate WORRALL, age 19, Spinster, of Milbourne Street. Father: Jonathan WORRALL, Tailor. Witnesses: Thomas HETHERINGTON, Jane Elizabeth Parmentier SIMPSON. I was looking for the marriage of James SIMPSON, born c.1875 (father: George SIMPSON, Hatter), a Gas Works Clerk, whose first wife Margaret Jane MITCHINSON died 13 Jun 1904 in Edward Street, Carlisle. James is said to have remarried fairly soon after Margaret's death to a woman called Agnes. Has anybody come across this couple? Petra
