Hello, I have a copy of an old Will dated December 1788 which was proved in May 1797. The only burial that's turned up to date that fits to be the person was December 1792. (It's just a one line entry with very little info.) Other Wills I have copies of have been proved very shortly after the person's death. Can any knowledgeable person tell me if a Will would have taken this long to be finalised? I don't know very much about the procedure. Thanks Nancy Australia
