I would like to call on the expertise of the list for some help with 'dating' a photo book I just acquired. This photo book is entitles "Souvenir of Carlisle" published by Chas. Thurnam & Son of Carlisle. Inside states that it is part of "The Dainty Series". Also, "Photographic View Album of Carlisle - Chas. Thurman & Sons, Booksellers and Stationers, Carlisle". There is no date of publication. The photos are black and white and, guessing, taken around 1900 or earlier. {There are no automobiles or trams - although there are 'buses' and 'cab's drawn by horses}.
