Thomas Anderson age 50 Police Sergeant b Scaleby I don't know if you are aware but there are constbulary records held at Carlisle Castle, for the 1800's this gives age, height, colouring, previous occupations, where served in different areas of Cumbria and distingushing marks. I found my gt grandfather just by tracing his name in the records. Pam
