Hi Approximately 140 Barwise wills, about 70% of them with family group sheets are now on line at http://homepage.ntlworld.com/fred.mantey Many of the wills were collected originally by Carl Pearson and when he sent them to me some years ago I decided that a good project for my retirement would be to collect all the Barwis/e wills in the record office at Carlisle, transcribe them and publish them. Some of the wills have come to me from members of the Barwis list on Rootsweb and a hundred or so I got through the good offices of Barry Lawman. I have deposited a hard copy at Carlisle record office already, but since then I have collected another 20 or 30 wills. When these are transcribed I will add them to the above site.
