My limited experience has been that CD transcriptions are very highly flawed. In particular, one of my (non-Cumbrian) ancestors was given the wrong age and address; and another, born in SouthWARK in London, was listed as born in Warwickshire. However, this doesn't say anything about Cumberland transcriptions - it may be that these were of better quality. Chris chris@dickinson.uk.net
