Does anyone know if there are any indexes on fiche (rather than the large books in Carlisle Record offices) in the county or within travelling distance from Carlisle? The books are all very well but for anything after about the 1880s its necessary to keep asking staff to get the books from the back room so a detailed search (for after 1900s) is impractical. Lynne
