Hi Maureen: I am John W. Clifton. My Johns family married into the Clifton family twice. Bessie Johns married my Gt. Uncle Joseph Clifton in Camborne and they moved to Johnstown Pa. about 1885. Bessies Brother Simon Johns married my Aunt Mary Lovelia Clifton in Phila. and they moved to Johnstown Pa. in the 1890s. Also William Johns of Camborne I believe to be another of Bessie Johns married Dora Clifton in Johnstown Pa. ( Wild don't you think ) who was the daughter of Bessie. Your William may have been a brother or a cousin of Bessie.
