Hi Dick, I saw your query about a John JOHNS of Redruth and couldn't resist asking you about my husband's ancestor John JOHNS christened 21 November 1784 in Redruth. He married Ann GRIBBLE on 6 May 1809 in Redruth. Have you by any chance come across him? Sorry I can't help with your John JOHNS, but I'm stuck on mine at the moment. Good luck and good searching, Marta Metcalf At 02:37 PM 6/13/2003, you wrote: >Hello Listers, > This is my brick wall; can anyone help? Hello Marta, Sorry, I can't help you. As far as I can see none of "my lot" married an Ann GRIBBLE but I'll let you know if any come my way. As an aside, I do realise that Johns is a far from uncommon name in Cornwall. ---------------------------------------- Dick of Norwich, Norfolk. ---------------------------------------- ----- Original Message ----- From: "Marta Metcalf" <mmetcalf@figzu.com> To: <ENG-CORNWALL-REDRUTH-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, June 15, 2003 1:58 AM Subject: Re: [Redruth] John JOHNS > Hi Dick, > > I saw your query about a John JOHNS of Redruth and couldn't resist asking > you about my husband's ancestor John JOHNS christened 21 November 1784 in > Redruth.
