I have had a lot of trouble tying to trace the marriage of a George JOHNSON known to be from Haddenham and an Elizabeth BURTON possibly also from Haddenham. I have searched www.1837online.com, CAMDEX, FreeBMD etc and would like to see if there was a suitable Elizabeth in Haddenham in 1861 and who her family was. Their son was born in December 1873 which gave the mother's name as Elizabeth JOHNSON formerly BURTON, suggesting that they had married. Please could SKS with access to the Haddenham 1861 census fiche have a quick Check to see if there is an Elizabeth BURTON or similar (Eliza/Betsy etc) living in Haddenham parish at that time. I know there is an Eliza BURTON age 2 living Hillrow on the 1851 census but I don't know if she survived. Also if you could find George in 1861 as well that would be great. In 1851 he was 1 month old and living Johnson's House, Hillrow, Delph Drove, Haddenham. I have his details for 1871 and 1881. Elizabeth has not been found in 1871 yet despite checking on Ancestry.Com. By 1881 she had died. Many thanks, Sarah Spink Berkshire ==== ENG-CAMBRIDGESHIRE Mailing List ==== .
