Hello, I'm researching the Francis Reveleys of Cambridgeshire, and wondered if anyone might recognize these names and locations: Francis Reveley was born in 1792 in Crosby Ravensworth, Westmorland. On October 13, 1813, Frank was admitted as a sizar at Trinity College, Cambridge University, and matriculated Michaelmas with a B.A. in 1818. Frank married Mary Roots of Chatham at Covent Garden in 1818. .....George Francis was born at No 85 Long Acre, 1824. He married Sarah Pullar. .....(Samuel) John born was born at No 85 Long Acre,1826. .....Ruth born at the Perie (?) Grade School Cambridge, 1828 .....Elizabeth born Nov 12 Fair Street Cambridge 1832. I'm not sure where he worked, but in a letter of 1823 he did say he had the offer of a curacy in May, but was in doubt whether to accept it. He had been strongly solicited to begin school at Chatham but had not the means at present. In 1836 the family was still in Cambridge. Any help on locations and whereabouts of these Reveleys would be greatly appreciated. There was another Reveley family in Cambridge, not closely related. I'm still working on them. Only a guess, but one of the best-regarded private schools in Cambridge nowadays is the Perse (one each for boys and girls actually) - perhaps that's your Perie? I work near Fair Street, but I'm afraid my camera isn't up to much. Estelle Cambridgeshire
