Hi Carroline The family appears with more than 6 children in the 1851 census transcription for Brinkley (HO 107/1762 f.7B. That household contains Thomas Howard, aged 45, a blacksmith and farmer employing 5 men, born in Brinkley; his 43-year-old wife, Elizabeth, born in Burrough Green; and the following children, all born in Brinkley - Eliza (22), Thomas (18), John (16), Emily (14). Lucy (12), Sarah (10), Richard (8), Maria (6), William (4), George (2). The household also includes Thomas and Elizabeth's granddaughter, Hannah Howard aged 7 born in Brinkley. A search on the IGI (www.familysearch.org), gives a marriage of Thomas Howard and Elizabeth Baldwin on 29 November 1827 in Brinkley. There's a baptism for Elizabeth Baldwin in Burrough Green on 12 Dec 1808 (born 2 Dec), daughter of Joseph and Lucy. The Cambridgeshire Baptism Index has no Thomas Howard baptism for Brinkley. According to the IGI there was a Thomas Howard baptised in nearby Balsham in 1806, but he was buried in 1807.
