I have a mystery re: Joshua WHALEY who lived in West Walton, Norfolk. His children were born there from mid 1820's until 1841. Found most of them in parish registers. Joshua WHALEY, though, does not appear in 1841 census according to a previous lookup request. However, in April 1842, Joshua WHALEY was tried in Crown Court, Norwich, Norfolk circuit. It states he was of West Walton. Since I cannot locate him in 1841 census, I wonder if anyone has access to this census and can find his neighbors who testified against him in court. They are Anne WRIGHT, Mr. PORTER, Mrs, SHANE. I am hoping perhaps that Joshua WHALEY's wife & children are next to these people in the census but with incorrect surname? His wife was Mary or Sarah, children: Sarah, Mary Ann, Joshua, Elizabeth, Joseph. If none of these people can be found, then I will figure they were all enumerated under a different parish? Any help greatly appreciated Sue, USA P.S. Am trying this list first as I been subscribed here a long time, most of my WHALEY's are in Cambs, and the fact that West Walton was part of Wisbech district. THANKS!
