For the benefit of new listers - Your-Maps-Online is a free resource for historians, with 160+ old maps & etchings online - downloadable - for use in your research. Enhance your presentations, show your family where there ancestors lived. All the maps are scanned from originals and shared online by the owners of these maps - they are *your* maps! If you have any suitable old maps and would like to share a scan with fellow researchers, then I would be happy to put them on the website. Just email me off-list. This is how the site started back in March 2003 - with over 85,000 unique hits since then ... Remember - they are *free* to download, for personal research purposes - please don't abuse the generosity of others. A full Atlas of John Cary County maps from 1797 - to buy this atlas today would cost in excess of £2000 - if you can find one!
