Hi, Is there anyone out there who can look on the 1861 census for me please. James NORMAN born 1803, March and his wife,Mary NORMAN born 1809, Whittlesey. They should be at Whittlesey Road, March, Cambs. Also William Norman born 1840 March and his wife Mary Ann born 1833 March. Sorry, I have no address for them but they may be close to James and Mary as above. Thanks for anything on any Normans in March on the 1861 census Regards Maureen (Mo)

Mo: I couldn't find a James & Mary NORMAN anywhere in March, but found the following: RG9/1044 Folio 77, Page 7, Schedule 36 - Whittlesea Road: Thomas NORMAN - Head - Md - 57 - Ag. Lab. - b. March Mary NORMAN - Wife - Md - 52 - b. Whittlesea Daniel NORMAN - Son - Unm - 15 - Ag. Lab. - b. March Folio 64, Page 4 Whittlesea Road*, March: William NORMAN - Head - Md - 22 - Labourer - b. March Mary A. NORMAN - Wife - Md - 28 - b. March *I think the address was Whittlesea Road - the next house on the schedule certainly was, & the one before was a railway gate house, uninhabited, but William & Mary's address was not stated. There was also the following living near William & Mary, boarding with a family named Hawkins: Joseph NORMAN - Boarder - Unm - 19 - Labourer Ag. - b. March Hope this helps. Viv
