CHAMBERLAIN - MEADOWS of Thorney, Cambridgeshire. c.1808 Dear Listers, I am looking for connections to the family of WILLIAM CHAMBERLAIN, born at Thorney, Cambridgeshire, son of WILLIAM CHAMBERLAIN & ANN MEADOWS married on 22.10.1807 at Thorny, Cambridgeshire. In the 1851 Census he is stated to have been born at Thorney, Cambs. but the only William Chamberlain I can find on IGI is born on 11.6.1808 at Gedney Hill, Lincoln and married at Waplode Drove, Lincs. to ANN HOG on 29.11.1830. He continued to live at Whaplode Drove, but says he was born at Thorney, Cambridgeshire, aged 44 in 1851 Census. Pleased to hear from anyone with any connections to this family for mutual interest. Hi Derek I have transcripts of the PRs on microfiche (courtesy of Cambs. FHS), but there is no baptism for William CHAMBERLAIN. Neither is there any sign of his baptism on the FHS searchable index of baptisms 1801-37 on the website.
