Is there anyone who can give me some info on the book the "Whole Duty of Man." My family brought this book over from England to America in the mid 1850's. In the book there is a list of births, deaths and marriages from the 1700's up to the late 1800's. Why would they record the data in this book and not a bible? Was it issued by the Church?
