Evelyn, If you look at a map you will see that Essex touches the southern edge of Cambridgeshire, and Hertfordshire the western. Some civil registration districts spanned the borders, and covered several parishes or towns. Check FreeBMD for the King family (All Districts, All Counties) for the year range. (They may have been married in Essex, just over the border, or the district spans into parts of 2 counties.) Then check out the "District" link that directs you to a Rootsweb web page that lists the districts, and what villages or parishes (in larger cities) are covered and where the UK civil records are located. Then go to FamilySearch.org, search the Family History Catalog by subject (village, county, ...), and follow the resulting web pages for the district (or village) until you can view the Film Notes to see what films are available. (See earlier email reply to another for similar hint.)
