    2. I am trying to find out the film number for Newnham,Cambridge..When I try to find it on familysearch nothing will come up for a Newnham,Cambridge..I know there is one..but only other places show ..Is Newnham a part of another community or am I looking in the wrong place? I would like to order the film so that I can find some individuals that were from there if they were a part of the Church of England at that time..Thanks..Cretia Olsen in Alaska..

    3. Newnham College is a secular college. There would have been no baptisms or marriages there. ----- Original Message ----- From: <Mama2see@aol.com> To: <ENG-CAMBRIDGESHIRE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, September 15, 2004 4:43 PM Subject: [ENG-CAMB] Newnham,Camb.FHL film#? > I am trying to find out the film number for Newnham,Cambridge..When I try to > find it on familysearch nothing will come up for a Newnham,Cambridge..I > know there is one..but only other places show ..Is Newnham a part of another > community or am I looking in the wrong place? 3. Hi Cretia Newnham is a part of Cambridge. It is not a parish so will not appear on familysearch. Depending on the exact area and date, it was probably either in Grantchester parish, or in St Botolph's parish Cambridge. However it is only a few minutes walk from the centre of Cambridge and its dozen + churches..... plus if they were university people, the 30+ college chapels. Hope that helps In message <9a.14b02df0.2e79bd1a@aol.com>, Mama2see@aol.com writes >I am trying to find out the film number for Newnham,Cambridge..When I try to >find it on familysearch nothing will come up for a Newnham,Cambridge..I >know there is one..but only other places show ..Is Newnham a part of another >community or am I looking in the wrong place?
