I'm new to the list and have a geographical question. I'm researching Eliza MAYCOCK who, in 1846, was sentenced to 15 years transportation to Van Diemen's Land for setting fire to haystacks belonging to her employer Mr BRIDGFOOT. Her trial was at Huntingdon Assizes and in the news report of the day in The Times her address was given as Ramsay, Norfolk. I can't find a Ramsay in Norfolk but I believe the Ramsey in Cambridgeshire isn't too far away from Huntingdon - would county boundaries have changed or might this just be an error?
