Hello Everyone. I was hoping someone could help me, I have a Hannah Poulter daughter of John Poulter she given as being born Kirtling Cambridgeshire circa 1858, I have her details on her Marriage certificate to James Barnes of Suffolk in Bloomsbury Middlesex 1884 she given as widow her first husband I believe is Henry Merkin(Murkin) who she married 26th June 1875 where her age is given as 19 (details given to me from Bury Record office) she had two children who are Frederick born 1876 & Elizabeth Ann born 1878 (on 1881 census & later is down as James's daughter). Now I have looked on 1837online from 1856-1859 (3qrt run out of credits lol) for her birth & can not find it, I am not sure if it just I am missing it due to not being bale to read a lot of the entries where the place is ect or it not there I saved copies of each of qrts I look at & go over them again & again but can not find her can anyone help with her or the family any help would be appreciated Regards Janice Researching: BARNES-Sfk,Lnd. Hello Janice - there is a Hannah Poulter born at Knaresborough in 1857. (Sept 57 Knaresborough 6a 103) . It might be possible that her family moved to Kirtling (which is in the Newmarket registration district) when she was very young, and she has given that as her birth place because it is the first place she remembers. A long shot, but worth considering? Liz
