Hi I am looking for sks who could find the following in the 1841 census. George Woolley aged 50 Cambridge St Mary the Great HO107/86/11 8B I suspect that George may have wandered south from Spalding. If he is not alone, could I please have the other members of the household. If he managed to produce family, I have his mother's Will showing him as a carpenter in Cambridge in 1836 and details of his brothers and parents. I am more than willing to undertake any Spalding area look ups in exchange. Regards John R G Bland
John, Listed under the same reference is Ellen Woolley age 55. Possible family connection in Leverington: Thomas Woolley, 30, Samuel Woolley 20, both listed under HO/107/ 78/5/f.6B Yet another Woolley, one Joseph aged 25, listed at the University, HO/107 / 87/7/ f2B Hope that this will help . Tony.
Hi Tony Thanks for these. Ellen is obviously the wife(verified in 1851) and perhaps Thomas, Samuel and Joseph are sons. The latter two names have been used elsewhere in this family. This request has confirmed for me that this George is the same one as that mentioned in his mother's Will (Ann Woolley, Widow of Market Deeping - should anyone be looking at the archives). As he and Ann appear to have married in 1816 he cannot be the same George Woolley who was producing children in Spalding, Lincs until his wife died in 1818. That was the purpose of the request - to find possible children for this stray branch is icing on the cake! Regards John > John, > Listed under the same reference is Ellen Woolley age 55.
