Does anyone have access to the 1851 census for Caxton? I am looking for my 2x gt grandfather Edward MUNNS who was a shoemaker, born in 1823 in Holywell Huntingdonshire. I have seen on an 1851 census index for Cambridgeshire that there was an Edward Munns recorded in Caxton. and I would much appreciate the details of that entry to see if he is 'mine'. If anyone can help me in this I would most grateful. Many thanks Colin Baldwin (in Manchester)
Hi Colin, Edward Munns born Hun. Holywell, is shown on the 1851 census in Caxton as a 30 year old apprentice to David Buck Cordwainer, obviously the same trade, could be your man. Ron Birchall. Elsworth, Cambridgeshire. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Colin Baldwin" <cbaldwin@globalnet.co.uk> To: <ENG-CAMBRIDGESHIRE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, July 24, 2004 12:34 PM Subject: [ENG-CAMB] 1851 Census - Caxton > Does anyone have access to the 1851 census for Caxton? > > I am looking for my 2x gt grandfather Edward MUNNS who was a > shoemaker, born in 1823 in Holywell Huntingdonshire.
