Dear Lynne - I couldn't find Shepreth at all in the 1871 Cambs census. Shepreth now comes under Royston which is a Hertfordshire postal address, wonder if you'll have more luck there. Liz

Hi Liz Thanks for looking. I get very confused about these towns. Shepreth (called Shepreth Entire ) was in Cambridge both in the 1881 and 1891 Census but it must be like the villages I am looking for in Essex and be in Hertfordshire for 1871. Thanks anyway.
